Jiaozi are what most of you in America call potstickers I think. From our first week in China in 2012 until now, this common Chinese food has been our Comfort Food. Oh sure, we miss hamburgers & french fries, macaroni & cheese and steak & potatoes. But we have accepted one part of the culture here with big smiles.
We’re picky in our tastes, though, and when our favorite jiaozi shop moved further away we were pretty sad. Recently though, a brand new shop has opened on the street where we live. They make really, really good jiaozi. Yes, we’re comfortable once again.
