Red Hills and Spotted Yak

Some friends loaned us their car and we enjoyed an overnight trip to see a National Geopark about an hour and a half from where we live.  Mom and Dad wanted to know what it looked like, so here are some pictures we took.

The one and a half street town where we spent the night.

DSC_5141And Dad, here’s a picture of where we were.  We drove east to the airport then just about straight south for a little less than an hour.  The town we stayed in is on the far right in the picture and the road into the park that we took is the one from the dam in the left/center of the picture that snakes up the mountains but goes from the center of the picture to the bottom left of the picture….  (I have great faith in your ability, Dad, to make sense of all that babbling.)
