Flag Day

Are you in awe when you see a flag flying high?

The flag we pass under on our walk to school.

I remember making a Chinese flag out of red and yellow paper when I was in sixth grade.  It was part of a report I did on China.  It’s almost surreal now to be in China and see the beautiful flag flying on our walk to school each day.

Ahava took this on a trip to Chicago last year.

Seeing a row or circle of various countries’ flags flying holds such fascination for me.

A shot I took today while we were at the soccer field on the campus of our university.

My handsome son two years ago.

I’ve always loved that the country I grew up in had such a bright and beautiful flag!

The flag flying outside the home we lived in two years ago in the United States.

And, to Texans among you, I’m sure you have quite a love, as I do, for the flag flying over our Lone Star State.

Flags have a power to invoke patriotism and respect in me like little else.  Here’s to Flag Day!
