CNY #3

We got a phone call from some friends asking if we wanted to meet them at the Ice Sculpture Exhibit just down the street from where we are staying right now. We bought tickets and went in under a canopy of round, red Chinese lanterns.

The entrance to the ice sculpture exhibit

We entered and were greeted by the first large ice sculpture.  We were surrounded by people there with families and many taking pictures of themselves by the sculptures.

Ahava loved this beautiful ice sculpture

We continued down the long walkway lined with ice sculptures and two ice block slides.

The Longer of the Ice Slides is behind and all along this great wall stretching away on the left 🙂

The shorter of the two slides and Asher almost to the end.

Dan and the kids had fun on both slides.  They especially had a blast though, riding down the longer of the two (probably 80-100 feet long).  I think I had more fun, though, watching the faces of all those who came down one after another sliding between the two ice walls!

Asher was born in the Year of the Dog

Dan & I were both born in the Year of the Dragon and now also moved to China in the Year of the Dragon.

Harmony was born in the year of the Monkey 🙂

The slide looks awesome. A combo of the Winter Carnival and the Giant slide at the state fair. Looks like you are on a great adventure!
